Rural King Opening Store in Sugarcreek

SUGARCREEK, Pa. (EYT) – Rural King, a national farm supply chain, has purchased the former Kmart building in Sugarcreek Borough with plans of opening a store there.

Commercial developer Dane Brody, of Seneca Realty, told exploreVenango.com that Rural King, a farm supply store based in Illinois, will occupy the former Sugarcreek Borough Kmart store located at 491 Allegheny Blvd. in Franklin, Pa.

No timetable is set for its opening.

Sugarcreek Kmart permanently closed on Sunday, April 8.

Rural King Supply was founded in 1960.

According to the company’s website, Rural King sells basic farm supplies as well as outdoor workwear, power tools, lawn and garden items, pet supplies, and guns, among other items.

It currently has over 100 stores throughout the United States.
