Ms. Ruth E. Buchanan, 65, of 171 Buchanan Lane Titusville passed away at 4:45 PM on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Ruth was born on February 18, 1952, in Titusville to the late Norris J. Buchanan and Gertrude Janet Skelley Buchanan.

She was a graduate of Oil City High School, class of 1970.

Ruth was formerly employed by Cross Creek Resort and most recently Oil Valley Physical Therapy.

She also operated a daycare service for many children over the years who referred to her as “Aunt Ruthie.”

She was a member of Mt. Carmel Tabernacle in Dempseytown.

Ruth loved being around children and taking care of her animals.

She is survived by a brother, Paul J. Buchanan and wife Susan of Titusville; a sister, Gloria J. Buchanan of Titusville; a nephew, Douglas Buchanan and wife Tina of Titusville; a great-niece, Amanda Buchanan and fiancé Michael Cone of Columbus, OH; and several cousins, step-nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Mt. Carmel Tabernacle 128 Wallaceville Rd., Titusville, PA 16354 on Monday from 2 to 4 with the funeral service to follow conducted by Rev. Dana Lewis, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Carmel Tabernacle.
