Samuel T. Weaver

Samuel Theodore Weaver, 86 of Sandy Lake, passed away on June 5, 2018, at Trinity Living Center in Grove City.

Samuel was born in Grove City on February 3, 1932, to the late Floyd Harold and Ruth Aldean Vogus Weaver. He proudly served our Country in the United States Navy as a Boiler Room Technician and was able to travel the world.

Samuel married his wife, Loretta Pearl Ashcraft Weaver, on January 6, 1959, she preceded him, in death on February 17, 2015, after 56 years of marriage.

Samuel loved to go to flea markets and fishing. He loved music and to sing for many local nursing homes. Samuel had a great sense of humor and could always make someone smile. He was very proud of his service to our Country and could always be seen sporting his Navy hat.

Samuel is survived by his children, Michael E. Weaver of Sandy Lake, Connie L. Weaver of Greenville, Sharon A. Axel and husband Daniel of Greenville, and Amy L. Emigh and husband Reverend John Emigh of Cooperstown, six granddaughters, Natasha, Christina, Emily, Rebecca, Amanda, and Charity, eight great grandchildren, brothers Dale Weaver and wife Rosemary of Slippery Rock and Gary Weaver and wife Bethel of Mercer, sisters Gladys Haag of Rockland and Carol Liszka and husband John of Greenville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Samuel was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Weaver Sr. and Ralph Weaver, and sister Norma Snyder, Betty Thompson, and Mildred Adams.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Black Funeral home, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home following visitation at 3:00 p.m. with the Pastor Edward Dailey, Pastor of Beth Emmanuel Fellowship Church in Sharon, Officiating. Full Military Honors will also be rendered by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard.

Interment will take place in Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
