Sara Jane Forsell Greenlee

Sara Jane Forsell Greenlee, 68, a resident of Myrtle Street, Franklin, died peacefully on Friday, September 28, 2018, in her home.

She was born March 18, 1950, in Franklin, a beloved daughter of the late Oscar W. and Evelyn I. (Delong) Forsell.

“Jane” had worked for more than 30 years as a waitress and bartender at the former Franklin Club. More recently, she had worked in the same capacities at The Quality Inn at Franklin.

She was married July 30, 1985, to Robert L. Greenlee, who preceded her in death on August 17, 2014.

She enjoyed shopping and was happiest as a homemaker to her family.

As her health permitted, Jane attended Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin.

She is survived by her children: Sheila Greenlee, with whom she shared her home; Arthur “Jay” Beers of Oil City and Robert Beers and his wife, Amy of High Point, NC. She was “Memaw” to her grandchildren: Skylar Beers, Shelby Beers, Riley Beers, Lacey Beers, and Garrett Beers; in addition to a great-granddaughter, Saylor Beers.

Also surviving are her step-children: Kathy Jack and her husband Ron of Seneca; Carol Nulph and Sandy Brown and her husband, Glenn all of Franklin and Jack Greenlee and his wife, Sue of Oil City; in addition to numerous step-grand and step-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is her sister, Shirley Miller and her husband, Ron of Franklin and two brothers: Steven D. Forsell of Lucinda and Charles “Gib” Forsell of Franklin; in addition to her sister-in-law, Gwen Forsell of Greenville; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents and by her brother, Samuel W. Forsell.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
