Sara R. Douthett age 77 of Main Street Rimersburg, PA; died on Friday March 17, 2017 at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA.

Born on October 21, 1939 in Rimersburg, PA; she was the daughter of the late Raymond Rankin and Clara Craig Rankin Heasley.

On December 26, 1960 she was married to William P. Douthett and he survives.

Retired, Sara had been employed as a secretary for the Union School District.

She was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Rimersburg. She enjoyed shopping trips, sitting on her front porch and spending time with her grandsons.

In addition to her husband she is also survived by a daughter Melissa (Eric) Shugarts of Brockway, PA; a son Matthew Douthett of Seneca, PA and 2 grandsons Seth and Daniel Shugarts.

She is also survived by her mother-in-law Alverda Douthett, a resident at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by a sister Nita Jane Rankin.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 21 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Burns Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc. 434 Main Street Rimersburg, PA 16248.

A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM also at the funeral home with Rev. John Monger officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rimersburg Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
