KUNMING, China (EYT) – He thought he was adopting two puppies, but a Chinese man found out otherwise two years later when his pets grew up into Asian black bears.

Wang Kayui willingly turned the animals over to a rescue facility once he made the discovery.

Prior to that time he kept the bears at his home, where he described them as “well-behaved.”
