Say What?!: Thieves Steal Hallucinogenic Toads from Arizona Conservation Area

MARICOPA CO., Ariz. — Officials in Arizona have released video footage of thieves taking Sonoran desert toads from a conservation area.

The footage was recently posted to the Spur Cross Conservation Area’s official Facebook page along with a post saying the case has been turned over to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials believe the thieves plan to lick the toads, a practice that induces hallucinogenic effects similar to DMT.
