Say What?!: Nearly 5,000 People Come Together to Break Guinness Record in Japan

TENDO, Japan — 4,724 Shogi players gathered in Tendo on Sunday to break a Guinness World Record by playing 2,362 simultaneous games.

The organizers set they set up 832 tables in the parking lot at Aeon Mall Co’s Tendo shopping mall complex for the event, which included players from all over Japan.
