GULFPORT, La. — An alligator found lurking outside a Walmart store in Louisianna was recently handled by a resourceful police chief with a shopping cart.

Gulfport Police Chief Leonard Papania was caught on video using a Walmart shopping cart to direct a wayward alligator away from a busy road just outside the store.
