KANSAS CITY, Missouri — A zoo in Missouri recently had a “code red situation” after an elephant escaped its enclosure.

Guests were escorted away from the area of the exhibit, although zoo officials later said the elephant did not make it to any of the public areas.

The animal was then returned to its exhibit with no injuries reported from the temporary escape.
