Say What?!: Weather Causing ‘Plague’ of Crickets in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — According to experts, a “plague” of crickets in San Antonio this year is the result of weather conditions that allowed them to thrive.

Molly Keck, an entomologist with the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service, stated that “perfect” conditions caused a population explosions, leading to the swarms noted in the area.
