Say What?!: Chinese Police Urged to Trim $32K Haircut Budget

SHENZEN, China – Police in a Chinese city are being urged to snip their haircut budget after it emerged $32,000 of taxpayer money was spent on trims over two years.

The Luohu District police in Shenzen are being urged to trim their haircut budget after reports revealed the department spent $32,000 over the course of two years to get thrice-monthly clips for its 2,170 officers.

Police defended the steep style budget, with a spokesman saying the haircuts are a necessary part of the department’s work.
