SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A two-vehicle crash shut down a portion of Patchel Run Road in Sugarcreek Borough Tuesday afternoon.

Sugarcreek Police say the accident happened around 3:45 p.m. when Angel Materson, of Franklin, lost control of her Dodge Dakota while attempting to negotiate a left-hand turn on Patchel Run Road.

Police say Materson’s vehicle subsequently struck an embankment and then landed on its driver’s side and into the path of a school bus operated by Dreama Cook of Franklin.

Cook was unable to avoid the collision and struck the front of Materson’s truck.

Materson suffered moderate injuries in the crash.

Cook was not injured.

Officials closed Patchel Run Road from Steadman Road to Whitman Road for approximately one hour following the crash.

No other injuries were reported. Police did not indicate whether any students were on the bus at the time of the accident.

Rocky Grove Fire Department and Community Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
