Scott L. McElravy, 58, of Clarion, formerly of Austin, TX, passed away on January 31, 2018, at UPMC Presbyterian after a period of declining health.

Born on August 3, 1959, Scott was the son of the late Robert McElravy and Shirley Breniman McElravy.

He attended Clarion Area School and received a Bachelor Degree for Clarion University. After graduation, he moved to Austin, TX, where he lived for 32 years.

Scott’s greatest joys in life were his brothers, beloved nephews, cousins, and friends. Family gatherings gave him an opportunity to show his skill in cooking and presentation of great food.

He received a black belt in Tai Kwan Do and donated his free time to instruction at the karate school. He was also interested in playing guitar, writing songs, cooking, hunting, and fishing. Most of all, Scott enjoyed telling stories of growing-up in Breniman Acres. He loved driving the back roads of beautiful Clarion County.

Along with his mother, Shirley McElravy, Scott is survivied by his brother Robert and his wife Kathleen, their sons Clayton and Milton, a nephew Evan of Brno, Czech Republic, and aunts Helen McElravy and Joan Pasquarette. Numerous cousins and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert and also his brother Mike who passed in 2015.

Scott will be sadly missed yet fondly remembered for his devotion to family and friends. Rest in Peace Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend.

As per his request there will be no public visitation. Faller Funeral Home, Inc. will be caring for the family.
