Second Stabbing Reported in Venango County in Less Than Three Hours; Man Flown to Erie Hospital

1812d1140135579-stat-medevac-stat[1]FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin Police Department say a stabbing occurred early this morning at a residence on the 1300 block of Eagle Street.

According to police, around 12:41 a.m., the City of Franklin Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of Eagle Street for a report of a 40-year-old male stabbing victim.

Upon arrival on the scene, the male was treated by officers for multiple stab wounds.

The City of Franklin Fire Department assisted on the scene, as well.

Community Ambulance Service transported the victim to Venango Regional Airport for Stat Medevac to transport him to an Erie Medical Facility for further treatment.

Police say “the suspects are named and known at this time.”

The names of the suspects are being withheld pending further investigation, according to police.

No other information is available.

NOTE: This stabbing incident is unrelated to the stabbing incident in Oil City.
