Semi Crashes on I-80 in Scrubgrass Township

SCRUBGRASS TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State police say a two-vehicle accident occurred early Saturday morning on Interstate 80, east of Stone Church Road, in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 5:51 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 21-year-old David C. Galvin, of Zelienople, was traveling eastbound on I-80 in the right lane. His 2014 Freightliner Flatbed left the right side of the roadway striking an unoccupied 2008 Lincoln MKZ that was parked along the shoulder of the road.

The vehicle then traveled approximately 100 yards, struck a ditch, and came to a final rest.

Galvin was using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was charged with a traffic violation.
