FOXBURG, Pa. (EYT) – A 21-year-old tractor trailer driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a rock wall in Foxburg on Monday morning.

According to Clarion-based State Police, around 8:27 a.m. on June 19, Alex Messmer, of Hubbard, Ohio, was driving a 2017 Ford Freightliner south on Route 58 at a high rate of speed.

After the initial crash, the truck continued along the roadside for about 500 feet before coming to a stop.
