UPDATE: Interstate 80 Reopens Following Semi vs. Car Crash

CLINTONVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — An accident involving a tractor-trailer and a car shut down a portion of Interstate 80 Friday morning in Venango County.

Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Gerry Rea said the accident happened around 10:30 a.m. on Interstate 80 westbound near mile marker 31.5.

According to PennDOT’s Jill Harry, the roadway was closed from Exit 35 (Route 308, Clintonville) to Exit 29 (Route 8, Barkeyville/Franklin/Oil City).

Rea said the accident involved a tractor-trailer and a passenger car.

The roadway reopened early Friday afternoon.

Franklin-based State Police, Superior Ambulance, and Emlenton Ambulance also responded to the scene.

No injuries have been reported.
