CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a Seneca man was arrested following a report from a victim’s employer on Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, an incident occurred around 3:23 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, when Franklin-based State Police were contacted by a known victim’s employer who was concerned for the victim’s wellbeing.

The victim’s employer reported the victim had left work and did not return, and the employer was unable to contact the victim. Police then conducted a welfare check at a residence on State Route 257 in Seneca.

Police say after several attempts of knocking at the door of the residence and calling the given phone number for the victim, they were contacted by a known 22-year-old Seneca man who related that he was inside the residence. The man then exited and said that his cousin and son were inside.

Police then hailed the remaining occupants of the residence, and a female exited with an infant. Police say the female was, in fact, the victim, with her nine-month-old son.

According to police, following an interview with the known 22-year-old man, he was placed under arrest for domestic violence, strangulation, and harassment.

Police did not release the name of the known man.
