Seneca Man Charged Following Oil City Incident

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Oil City Police Department responded to a disorderly conduct incident that occurred on September 26, at a residence on East Ninth Street in Oil City, Venango County.

Police responded to a harassment report around 8:50 p.m. on September 26 at a residence on East Ninth Street in Oil City.

The caller stated that his son, 25-year-old Travis Sharp, of Seneca, was in front of his residence and refusing to leave. The caller stated that he received a call from a known female who reported that Sharp was going to assault him when he arrived home.

Sharp was allegedly told to leave because they were calling police. Sharp reportedly replied via Facebook messenger that when the police arrived he would give them a reason to shoot him.

Sharp was charged with disorderly conduct in District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office.

Unable to post $20,000.00 monetary bail, he was placed in Venango County Prison.
