Seneca Man Involved in One-Vehicle Crash, Cranberry Township

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Franklin-based State Police, a Seneca man was involved in a one-vehicle crash in Cranberry Twp., Venango Co., Pa.

Police say around 8:00 a.m. on August 9, 2012, 31-year-old Larry D. Rice of Seneca, Pa. — driving a 2001 Ford Explorer north on SR 257 — traveled off the east berm of the road and struck a mail box and utility pole.

According to police, Rice was not injured; he was wearing a seat belt.

Police say there was disabling damage to the vehicle; it was removed from the scene by Klapec Towing.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.

Rice was charged with not maintaining control of the vehicle within a lane.
