Seneca Man Jailed After Allegedly Striking Oil City Man with Brass Knuckles During Altercation

pa-state-police-300x201CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say two men face charges following an assault that allegedly occurred around 12:58 p.m. on July 18, on State Route 257, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, 39-year-old Todd Michael Schull, of Seneca, and 40-year-old Jeffrey Scott Chrispen, of Oil City, allegedly physically assaulted each other during a dispute at the above described location.

During the fight, Schull allegedly struck Chrispen in the head with brass knuckles, causing injury, police say.

Both men were transported to UPMC Northwest for medical treatment of their injuries, according to police.

Schull was arraigned before District Judge Michael D. Snyder for Aggravated Assault.

Unable to post $40,000.00 bail, Schull was committed to the Venango County Jail.

A criminal complaint was filed with District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey charging Chrispen with Simple Assault.

No other information was provided.
