Seneca Sex Offender Taken into Custody in OC After Attempting to Lure Teen with Puppy

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Police say a registered sex offender has been taken into custody after he allegedly tried to lure a teenage girl into his vehicle in Oil City on Monday.

Around 4:29 p.m. on Monday, May 21, Oil City Police officers responded to the 10 block of Manning Street for a report of a male trying to lure a teenage girl into his vehicle.

According to police, the man, identified as William Show, of Seneca, allegedly asked the victim if she lived nearby and ran the same route every day.

Shaw allegedly told her he had something in his truck that would make her “smile big.” Show then told her he had a puppy in his truck, police say.

The victim went home and notified her mother and the police.

Show was found to be a registered sex offender and was placed in the Venango County Jail on a parole detainer.

According to the PA State Megan’s Law website, 46-year-old William Lee Show resides at 148 Autumn Haze Lane in Seneca.

He is 5’8″, 215 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

According to the PA State Police Megan’s Law Public Record, Show was convicted on February 15, 2001, of indecent assault — complainant less than 13 years of age.

– Bill Show

His Megan’s Law registration began on October 28, 2011.

It was last updated on April 5, 2018.

He is listed as a ten-year registrant on the Megan’s Law site.
