Several New Physicians Join UPMC Northwest Medical Staff

SENECA, Pa. — Several new physicians joined the medical staff at UPMC Northwest recently.

Magee-Womens Specialty Services at UPMC Northwest welcomed Kelsey Dressen, M.D. Dr Dressen earned her medical degree from New York Medical College; she completed an ob-gyn residency at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. Franklin Community Medicine-UPMC welcomed Stephanie Araujo, M.D. to its Pennwood Center office in Franklin. After earning her medical degree from All Saints University School of Medicine in Roseau, Dominica, she completed a family medicine residency at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. Ibrahim Bawab, M.D. joined the UPMC Northwest ENT office at 1029 Liberty St. in Franklin. Dr. Bawab specializes in ear, nose, and throat surgery; head and neck surgery; and facial reconstructive surgery.  He completed a residency in head and neck surgery and oncology, otology, rhinology, laryngology, and facial plastics at American University of Beirut Medical Center. Dr. Bawab also completed a fellowship in head and neck surgery, reconstructive surgery, and oncology at Wayne State University/Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit. Kyle Shilk, D.O., has joined Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Associates–UPMC at 44 Circle St. in Franklin. Dr. Shilk is a fellowship-trained interventional pain medicine specialist. His specialties include:  interventional pain management; comprehensive chronic pain management; cancer pain; and neuromodulation.

He earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Erie and completed his internship at LECOM and Clarion Hospital. He completed a residency in Anesthesiology and a fellowship in interventional pain medicine at State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.

Lyudmila Demko, D.O. joined the team of radiologists at UPMC Northwest. She earned her medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to completing a diagnostic radiology residency at Larkin Community Hospital and a fellowship in cardiothoracic radiology at Medical College of Wisconsin, she is a fellowship-trained pediatric endocrinologist.

Muhammad Badar Munir, M.D. is a pediatric hospitalist at UPMC Northwest. He received his medical degree from CMH Lahore Medical and Dental College in Pakistan. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville.
