SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police seized several pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop Wednesday in Sugarcreek Borough, Venango County.

Around 11:00 a.m., Robert Michael Williamson, 44, was pulled over for a suspended operator’s license near Kwikfill in the 1200 block of Allegheny Boulevard.

During the stop, it was determined that Williamson was wanted on an arrest warrant in Crawford County.

Police said Williamson also appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

Williamson and his passenger — 49-year-old Ruth Ann Finch — were taken into custody at the scene.

Williamson was arraigned before District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland on drug and DUI charges.

He was placed in the Venango County Jail after failing to post $50,000 cash bail.
