VENANGO CO. Pa. (EYT) – State Police say a tractor trailer that left debris on multiple area roadways caused flat tires for several motorists on Monday.

The incident was discovered after area officials received multiple reports of disabled vehicles with flat tires in Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, and Warren counties.

An investigation by Motor Carrier Safety and PSP Warren, Franklin, and New Castle revealed that a McClymonds Supply & Transit Co. tractor trailer lost a portion of its load while traveling from Warren, Pa., to New Castle, Pa. As the truck was traveling south, it continuously lost small pieces of scrap metal.

Debris was found along Route 62 South, Route 6 West, Route 227 South, Route 8 South, Interstate 79 South, and Route 422 West.

Anyone who sustained punctured tires as a result of this incident is asked to contact McClymonds Supply & Transit Co., 296 Currie Road, Portersville, PA 16051, at 724-368-8040. The direct point of contact is Clint Hancox.

PennDOT assisted with sweeping the roadways.
