Several Venango County Residents Targeted in Identity Theft Scheme

VENANGO COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – Multiple Venango County residents have fallen victim in a recent case of identity theft.

Franklin-based State Police is investigating reports of fraudulent activity involving several Galaxy Federal
Credit Union accounts.

State Police say unauthorized transactions ranging from $1 to $100 have appeared on multiple victim’s accounts.

The transactions were made at Walmart and Maid 2 Perfection in Georgia, according to police.

State Police say the transactions were processed on November 28 and November 29.
