Shannon A. Garin-McQuade

Shannon A. Garin-McQuade, 47, a resident of 930 Buffalo Street, Franklin, died peacefully at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2020, in her home.

She was born March 23, 1972, in Franklin, a beloved daughter of James and Hilda “Sue” Chamberlain Garin.

Shannon was a 1990 graduate of Kileen High School, Kileen Tx., where she was a cheerleader.

She was employed for a number of years as a waitress at Leonardo’s Restaurant in Franklin.

Shannon enjoyed socializing with friends and family; and dancing. She especially enjoyed dancing to the music of her favorite artist, Michael Jackson. She enjoyed quiet walks, reading, and camping. Above all, she looked forward to the fun times she shared with her daughters and beloved grandchildren. Shannon will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.

Shannon is survived by her son, Zachary Kingdom of Michigan, and two daughters: Emily Holmes and husband, Michael, and their children: Greyson, Ariana, and Maddox of Longs, S.C.; and Savannah McQuade and her boyfriend, Jonathon Huber of Rouseville.

Also surviving is her mother, Hilda “Sue” Sloss, and step-father, Paul Sloss of Franklin; her father, James Garin of Grove City; a sister, Ashley Garin and her sons: Chase and Masyn of Franklin; and by her step-sister, Theresa Sloss and her children: Johnathon, Jeffrey, Moira and Ashton of Seneca; in addition to many loving extended family members and friends.

Shannon was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Stella Chamberlain, and by her paternal grandmother, Mary Jo Garin.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation.

Friends and family are invited Thursday, February 20, 2020, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in The Atlantic Avenue United Brethren Church, 160 Atlantic Avenue, Franklin.

A memorial service, in celebration of her life, will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the church, with Senior Pastor Gary Small, officiating.

Private interment will be in Graham Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be directed in Shannon’s name to The Atlantic Avenue United Brethren Church.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin.
