Sherwood E GuntrumSherwood E. Guntrum, 74, of White City Rd., Titusville passed away at 9:00 PM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System.

Mr. Guntrum was born on September 17, 1942, in Rimersburg to the late Tracy E. and Evelyn K. Black Guntrum.

He was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, class of 1960.

Following graduation he was inducted into the US Navy where he served on the USS Valley Forge during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Guntrum worked as a welder for various companies in the area including Oil Well Supply in Oil City. He later opened White City Welding in 1997 as owner and operator until his retirement in 2009.

He was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW. He enjoyed making bows, arrows, knives and tanning animal hides. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Sherwood is survived by 3 daughters, Linda Lang and husband Terry of Franklin, Stacy Exley and companion James Glass, Jr. of Titusville, Bonnie Murch and husband Charles of San Diego, CA; 5 grandchildren, Matthew Burlingame of Knox, Daniell Guntrum and Lisa Holland both of Rochester, NY, Thor Murch and Ava Murch of San Diego, CA; 2 step-grandchildren, Brandon Lang, Andrew Lang and wife Sue Ann both of Franklin; a brother, James Guntrum of Titusville; a sister, Carol Caryl and husband Carey of Pleasantville; 4 nephews, Randall Caryl and wife LeeAnn, Jeffrey Caryl, James Guntrum, Bret Guntrum and wife Jennifer; a niece, Renea Repasky and husband David; and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his former wife Evelyn E. Beers Guntrum.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW, 206 St. John St.,Titusville from 12 to 3 PM, with Pastor Roy Gearhart of Galloway Methodist Church officiating.
