KEITHshirleyShirley A. “Boots” Keith, 62, a resident of 520 Allenbaugh Road, Sugarcreek Boro, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, December 23, 2014 in the Bradford Regional Medical Center; with her loving family by her side.

Mrs. Keith was stricken suddenly, while enroute with her aunt, delivering Christmas presents to members of her family living in the Bradford area
on Monday.

She was born July 24, 1952 in Titusville, a beloved daughter of the late: Kenneth and Sarah Tucker Zuck.

She was a member of The Worden Chapel United Methodist Church of Franklin.

She had worked for many years in the kitchen of the former Venango Manor; before retiring.

Mrs. Keith was an active and longtime member of both the Franklin and Oil City Moose Clubs. She was a member for many years, as well, of the Women’s League of the Franklin Salvation Army.

Boots loved the outdoors. She was a member of the Rainbow Archery Club; where for many years, she was the Women’s Archery Champion. She enjoyed and looked forward to hunting with members of her family; and had taken several trophies through the years.

She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. Most important to her always was her family. She enjoyed and looked forward to the fun times she was able to share with them; most especially being a part of her grandchildren’s lives. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her!

She was married September 21, 1968 in the Galloway United Methodist Church to Alton L. Keith, Sr. who preceded her in death on July 18, 2011.

She is survived by her sons: Alton L. Keith, Jr. and his wife Donn D. Keith of Franklin and Robert L. Keith and his wife Kristine R. Keith of Cooperstown; also surviving are her grandchildren: Reagan R. Keith, Alex M. Keith and Levi R. Keith all of Cooperstown, Kristine D. Keith of Franklin and K. D. Bacher of Washington.

Also surviving is her sister: Carol Baum and three brothers: Kenneth L. “Huck” Zuck and his wife Rita, David Zuck and his wife Helen and Robert Zuck and his wife Lori; all of Oil City.

Also surviving are her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Roger Keith and his wife Peg of Cooperstown and Sandra Rice and her husband Dewayne of Carlton; in addition to many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son: Alan L. Keith.

Friends may call Saturday 3-5 PM in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 5 PM in the funeral home with Reverend Mark Fultz, pastor of The Evangelistic Tabernacle of Cooperstown and Reverend Ralph Davis, pastor of The Worden Chapel United Methodist Church, officiating.

Private interment will be in Cooperstown Cemetery.
