Shirley J. Hamilton, 79, a resident of Oakwood Heights in Oil City and formerly of Venus passed away at 10:25 A.M. Thursday August 3, 2017.

Born Feb. 19, 1938 in Tippery, PA., she was the daughter of the late Earl Rossey & Bessie Walls Rossey.

Shirley was married to Russell E. Hamilton and he preceded her in death on June 10, 2002.

She had been employed as a janitor for the Wattsburg School District for many years.

Shirley enjoyed raising and showing horses and had several Chihuahua’s.

She is survived by two children, Harold Hamilton of Oil City, Mary Beth Perry of Venus; 2 grandchildren, Kristy Nale & her husband John, Anna Perry; 1 great grandson, David Nale.
She is survived by seven brothers and sisters Clarence Rossey of FL, Juanita Berlin of Oil City, Mary Williams of Meadville, Dorothy Crawford of Corry, Barbara Ketcham of Meadville, Elsie Culp of Venus, Earl Rossey Jr. of Meadville.

In addition to her husband and parents, was preceded in death by brothers Charles Rossey, William Rossey, Ralph Rossey and Jackie Rossey and by three infants James, Matilda and Alonzo Rossey.

Friends will be received from 12 noon until 1:00P.M. Saturday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00P.M. with Rev. Sam Wagner of Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin, Presiding.

Interment will be in Heckathorn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
