shirley mcintireShirley L. McIntire, 86, a resident of Oil City Healthcare & Rehab passed away at 3:15 A.M. Wednesday, June 19, 2019, after an extended illness.

Born Oct. 28, 1932, in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence E. & Gladys M. Thompson Grubbs.

Shirley was married to Richard W. McIntire in 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1958.

Shirley had worked at Kay’s Smorgasbord, Famoore’s and at the Grandview Convalescent Home. She had also worked for Weston’s and Jamesway.

Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by three children

Debbie Benton & her husband Robert G. Benton Jr. of Oil City

Rebecca Heckathorn of Oil City

Bridget Ann Murray of Oil City

the following grandchildren

Buffy Schiffer & her husband Nathan

Christina Lynn Harbison & her boyfriend Ryan Chelton

Bobby Jo Myers

Izec Murray

Great Grandchildren

Katelyn Swartzfager & her husband Tim

Trevor Schiffer

Payton Chelton, Josephine Chelton, and Ryan Chelton Jr.

and Nova Myers

She is also survived by a sister

Judi Van Guilder & her husband Paul of Seneca

and their son

Kenneth Van Guilder & and his wife Marlyn

and their children

Natasha, Nicole, Nash and Noah

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son

Richard W. McIntire Jr.

a son-in-law

Robert Ray Heckathorn

and a granddaughter

Melissa Sue Heckathorn

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Funeral Services will take place at the convenience of the family.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

The Family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Oil City Healthcare & Rehab for the loving care their mother received there.
