Shirley M. Kamerer

Shirley M. Kamerer, age 79, of Clarion, passed away at home of natural causes on April 5, 2017.

Born on June 7, 1937 in Venango County, she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Ace) Hunsberger.

She was married to Frank Kamerer on September 18, 1953. He preceded her in death in May, 2009. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the American Legion in Strattanville, and was of the Methodist faith.

Shirley is survived by her children, Leland Kamerer, Patricia Kamerer, and Karen Kamerer, all of Arizona.

She is also survived by her siblings, Larry Hunsberger of Clarion, Charles Hunsberger of Clarion, Donna Hartzell of Shippenville, Dorothy Sarvey of Clarion, and Lyvonne Cheeks of Pittsburgh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Kamerer; two brothers, Warren and Clyde Hunsberger; and a sister, Delores Miller.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion.

Visitation will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. on Tuesday with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Kevin R. Haley, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Clarion will preside.

Interment will be in the Callensburg Cemetery.
