Shots Fired During Dispute in Oil City; Suspect in Custody

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Police have arrested a man in connection with a dispute involving gunfire yesterday in Oil City.

Oil City Police said they were dispatched to a location in the 300 block of Washington Avenue yesterday for a report of a dispute and shots fired.

After conducting an investigation, William Hartle was arrested and charged with received stolen property, recklessly endangering persons, and disorderly conduct.

Police said Hartle was found to be in possession of a stolen gun.

Hartle was arraigned and placed in Venango County Prison in lieu of $100,000 straight bail.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

No one was hurt during the dispute.
