Silke McHenry, age 44, of Harrisville, PA, formerly of Clarion, died on July 22, 2016 at the UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA surrounded by her family following a lengthy battle with hemolytic anemia.

She was born in Rochlitz, Germany on April 29, 1972, the daughter of Uwe Wochnik, who preceded her in death, and Roswitha Eichler Boenke, who survives.

Silke attended school in Germany. She was recently employed at Otto’s Tavern for a number of years. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was an avid Steelers fan.

She is survived by her mother, Roswitha Boenke, of Germany; her fiancé, Ed Hoffman and his two children, Jade and Brady of Harrisville; a son, Jason Boenke of Harrisville; and a brother, Maik Boenke of Germany. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 pm. with services to follow at 7:00 PM at the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St, Clarion, PA.
