Slippery Rock’s Lutz Named PSAC West Football Coach of the Year; All-Conference Teams Named

Vocco is joined by three of his defensive teammates who were named second-team and guard Zack Morris, who earned second-team honors on the offensive side.

The second-team defensive players for the Golden Eagles were defensive linemen Alec Heldreth and Saif Khan and linebacker Layne Skundrich.

In addition to the Clarion players, District 9 product Joe Peterson, a senior tackle at IUP was named second-team All-Conference.

Peterson is joined by 13 of his IUP teammates including guard Colin McAllister (first team), center Jeff Arnold (first team), tight end Grant Smith (first team), defensive lineman Deandre Easterling (first team), defensive lineman Dondrea Tillman (first team), linebacker Damon Lloyd (first team), return specialist Quashah Carer (first team), quarterback Lenny Williams (second team), running back Justice Evans (second team), guard Josh Dauberman (second team), kicker Dillon Sarka (second team), linebacker Nick Amendola (second team) and defensive back Shaq Jones (second team).

The other PSAC West major awards went to Edinboro’s Walter Fletcher (Offensive Player of the Year), California’s Lamont McPhatter (Defensive Player of the Year) and California’s Noah Mitchell (Freshman of the Year).
