Snow-Covered Roadway Causes Crash on Route 8

police lightsSANDYCREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – According to Franklin-based State Police, a one-car accident occurred on State Route 8, in Sandycreek Township, Venango County.

Police say around 9:43 p.m. on March 10, 28-year-old Tiffany D. Mlechick, of Franklin, was traveling southbound on Route 8 in a 2009 Chevrolet Impala. The car was headed downhill and negotiating a right curve, south of North Pecan Drive.

The roadway was mostly covered lightly with snow, and Mlechick lost control of her car. It began to rotate in a clockwise manner and exited the roadway via the east berm. The car struck trees with its front portion and came to a rest at this location, according to police.

Mlechick and two passengers – 22-year-old Kassidy N. Clark and 25-year-old Randell W. Wilson, both of Franklin – were using seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

Mlechick was charged with a traffic violation.

The car was towed from the scene by Lowry’s Auto Body.

Sandycreek Fire Department assisted at the scene.
