St. Petersburg Man Accused of Headbutting, Shoving, Striking Victim’s Forehead Against House

ST. PETERSBURG, Pa. (EYT) – Additional details on an alleged assault that recently occurred in St. Petersburg have been released.

Court documents indicate the Clarion-based State Police filed criminal charges against 36-year-old Walter Paul Samuel Walker, of St. Petersburg.

According to a criminal complaint, around 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, Troopers Knight and Reilly, of the Clarion-based State Police, were met at the Clarion State Police barracks by a known victim who reported a domestic dispute that occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1.

The victim reported that she and Walter Paul Samuel Walker were at their residence on East Main Street in St. Petersburg Borough when Walker pulled her hair, head-butted her in the face, threw her to the ground, and struck her face into vinyl siding.

The complaint notes that the victim suffered a laceration to her forehead which required six stitches and also had two black eyes, which were both visibly swollen.

Walker was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Amy Long Turk at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, on the following charges:

– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Unable to post $10,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Clarion County Jail on March 2. He was released on Monday, March 4, on a surety bond posted by a professional bondsman.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, with Judge Turk presiding.

Walker is also facing assault charges stemming from an October 19, 2018 incident. Plea Court is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on March 13 in front of President Judge James G. Arner.
