CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — A St. Petersburg man has died from injuries sustained from a UTV rollover that occurred last week in Perry Township, Clarion County.

Jeremy Slaugenhoup, 28, of St. Petersburg, a passenger in the UTV vehicle, passed away at 11:57 p.m. on September 10, at Golden Living Care Center in Clarion.

Clarion-based State Police say around 2:42 a.m., on Sunday, September 7, Kyle Bailey, 22, of Parker, was traveling north on Keefer Road when he failed to negotiate a right-hand turn and drove off the left side of the roadway.

Bailey’s Polaris RZR Side-by-Side impacted a tree stump, causing the vehicle to roll over an unknown number of times before coming to a rest.

Slaugenhoup, a passenger, was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.

Bailey was wearing a seatbelt, according to police.

He suffered severe injuries. No additional information was provided on his condition.

Police believe the accident was alcohol-related; however, DUI charges have not been filed as of Saturday, September 13.

Police are awaiting BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) results.
