St. Petersburg Woman Accused of Theft of $800 From Coworker

BARKEYVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — A St. Petersburg woman is facing theft and related charges after she allegedly stole $800.00 from a co-worker in Barkeyville.

According to Polk Borough Police, on October 2, an employee of the Travel Centers of America (TA), in Barkeyville, called 9-1-1 after discovering more than $800.00 in cash was taken from her purse in the restaurant’s office.

Police say through investigation and viewing of security footage, Sergeant Heller, of the Polk Borough Police Department, found that another employee, 32-year-old Shanon Calderone, of St. Petersburg, went through the victim’s belongings and took money from the victim’s purse, placing it in her own pockets.

The following charges are pending against Calderone through Magisterial District Judge Lowrey’s office:

– Theft by Unlawful Taking, Misdemeanor 1
– Receiving Stolen Property, Misdemeanor 2
