STAT MedEvac Transports Franklin Woman to UPMC Hamot Following One-Vehicle Crash

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Franklin woman was airlifted to UPMC Hamot on Tuesday afternoon following a crash that occurred on Bredinsburg Road.

According to Franklin-based State Police, the accident happened around 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, on Bredinsburg Road in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Police say 37-year-old Casey J. Green, of Franklin, was operating a 2006 Pontiac Vibe, traveling east on Bredinsburg Road when her vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a tree along the right side of the road.

Green was extricated from the vehicle and transported by Community Ambulance to a landing area, then transported to UPMC Hamot by STAT MedEvac for treatment of suspected serious injuries.

She was not using a seat belt.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Venango Towing.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department and Franklin Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

Green was cited for a traffic violation.
