State Police Calls: Thefts

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Theft in Sugarcreek Borough

A theft occurred sometime between July 9 and July 12 at Monarch Care Services in Sugarcreek Borough.

Police say known suspects stole some of an 86-year-old woman’s narcotics.

An investigation into this incident is ongoing.

Retail Theft in Cranberry Township

Police say 22-year-old Andrew Robert Chrispen, of Franklin, entered The BonTon at the Cranberry Mall with a black backpack. He was allegedly seen taking articles of clothing into the dressing area and stuffing the clothes into his black bag.

He was taken into custody and transported to PSP Franklin and then to the Venango County Jail.

No other information was available.

Theft in Cherrytree Township

Police say a theft occurred at a residence on Old Route 8 in Cherrytree Township.

An unknown perpetrator(s) removed a Winchester 30-30 lever action rifle with a wood stock from a 56-year-old Titusville man’s residence.

The incident occurred sometime between October 15, 2016, and July 6, 2017.
