State Police Calls: DUI, Burglary

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI in Oakland Township

Police say a DUI arrest occurred around 1:36 a.m. on August 13, at the 4900 block of State Route 417, in Oakland Township.

This incident occurred as a known 37-year-old man was stopped for a traffic violation.

He was subsequently arrested for DUI.

The name of the accused was not released.

Burglary in Frenchcreek Township

According to police, a burglary occurred sometime between 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on August 12 at 497 Mercer Road, in Frenchcreek Township.

Police say an unknown perpetrator(s) entered the victim’s unsecured residence at the above-described location.

The perpetrator(s) removed 84 oxycodone prescription pills valued at $20.00. Then, the perpetrator(s) fled the scene in an unknown direction by unknown means.

The victim is a 59-year-old Franklin man.

The investigation continues.
