State Police Calls: Assault, Theft

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Simple Assault in Scrubgrass Township

Police say an assault occurred at 12:41 p.m. on November 10 at 154 Goshen Road Ext., Scrubgrass Township.

According to police, 54-year-old Thomas Jeffrey Labans, of Emlenton, was arraigned before District Judge 28-3-04 for Simple Assault.

Unable to post $50,000.00 straight bail, Labans was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

The victim is a known, 57-year-old Emlenton man.

Details of the assault were not provided.

Theft in Cranberry Township

Police say a theft occurred at 12:45 a.m. on November 10 at 300 S. Main Street, in Cranberry Township.

According to police, the known suspect stole several articles of clothing out of two dryers while the clothing was unattended.

The name of the suspect was not released.
