State Police Calls: DUI, Firearm Violation

VENANGO CO., Pa. (ETY) – Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI in Cranberry Township

Police received a call at around 5:31 a.m. on Sunday, March 25, regarding a vehicle parked on Whipporwill Road near the intersection of US 322, with its engine running.

Upon arrival, police discovered the driver of the vehicle to be passed out behind the wheel. The known male was determined to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Firearms Act Violation in Sandy Creek Township

According to police, a known man attempted to transfer the ownership of a firearm into his name after being prohibited from doing so based on an involuntary mental health commitment.

The suspect attempted to complete the transfer at 12:39 p.m. on December 27, 2017, at Guntown Mountain. The transfer was rejected.
