State Police Calls: PFA Violation, DUI, Resisting Arrest

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

PFA Violation in Cranberry Township

According to police, between the dates of Tuesday, May 8, and Wednesday, May 23, 42-year-old Christopher Patrick Greenawalt, of Knox, allegedly sent Facebook messages, a written letter, and items in the mail to a known 31-year-old victim, when there is an active PFA which prohibits the Greenawalt from having contact with the victim.

Greenawalt was arrested and arraigned in front of Judge Lowrey.

DUI and Resisting Arrest in Oakland Township

Police say around 2:54 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 39-year-old Renae Marie Bowens, of Titusville, was stopped for speeding in the Village of Dempseytown.

According to police, during the traffic stop, Bowens allegedly resisted being placed under arrest by Tpr. Bingman and Venango County Sheriff Foy, who was driving by and observed what was occurring and stopped to provide assistance.

According to a police report, once handcuffed, Bowens was being walked to the police vehicle when she allegedly kicked it which caused a large deep scratch to the paint that will require repair.

Bowens was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Lowrey on the following charges: DUI, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Mischief, and Speeding, according to court documents.

Bail was set at $5,000.00 cash, and Bowens was placed in the Venango County Jail.
