State Police Calls: Criminal Mischief, Retail Thefts, DUI

VENANGO COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to the following incidents:

Cranberry Township Criminal Mischief

Police say between Midnight and 10:43 a.m. November 21, 2015, unknown actors backed up to the victim’s vehicle which was parked near the intersection of Deep Hollow Road and Breidensburg Road in Cranberry Township.

The actors spun dirt and gravel against the victim’s vehicle which resulted in the glass of the driver door window and the driver-side sliding door to break.

The victim’s vehicle was parked at the location due to being disabled from hitting a deer on a earlier date.

The victim is listed at a 43-year-old woman.

Cranberry Township Retail Theft

Police say a known juvenile entered The Shoe Dept store on Route 322 in Cranberry Township around 7:00 p.m. on November 7.

The juvenile walked out of the store wearing a pair of boots that were not purchased.

Cranberry Township Retail Theft

Police say a second retail theft took place at the Kwik Fill gas station at the intersection of Route 322 and Route 257.

According to police, at 12:45 p.m. October 26, a 30-year-old Oil City woman entered the gas station, took a 5 Hour Energy drink and concealed it in her pocket.

The suspect then allegedly proceeded to leave the business without paying for the drink.

Police say the suspect was arraigned before District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey for violation of Retail Theft.

Bail was set at $10,000 (unsecured) and she was released.

A Criminal Complaint was filed with District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey charging the suspect with Retail Theft.

Cornplanter Township DUI

Police say a known actor was stopped at 2:17 a.m. November 22 for a traffic violation on Charlton Street in Cornplanter Township.

The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

Police say charges are pending.
