State Police Calls: Drug Possession; Wallet Stolen; Gun Found in Woods

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Drug Possession Alleged

According to police, a known, 35-year-old Oil City woman is suspected of having methamphetamine at the Holiday Inn Express in Cranberry Township at 2:18 p.m., Wednesday, December 6.

Charges are pending lab results.

Student Steals Wallet

Police said a known, 17-year-old Franklin teen found a wallet belonging to a 17-year-old Oil City teen on a school bus November 21 at Cranberry High School and had no intention of returning it to the victim.

Charges are pending in district court.

Hunting rifle missing

Police are investigating an incident where a 59-year-old man from Mineral Township reported a hunting rifle missing from his home sometime between December 20, 2016, and November 23, 2017.

Stolen pistol found

A hunter found a KEL-TEC .380 caliber pistol along Route 428 in Plum Township at 4:33 p.m., Thursday, December 7. The gun was reported stolen in 2008 from Hickory, N.C.

The hunter turned the gun into the Franklin barracks. Pending the E-Trace Notification, the gun will be returned to its owner.
