State Police Calls: DUI Arrest, Death Investigation

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI Arrest in Emlenton

A traffic stop was initiated around 11:57 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, on Main Street in Emlenton Borough.

The vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation, and the known driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

He was placed under arrest for DUI.

Charges are pending BAC results.

Death Investigation

Staff members from Polk Center contact PSP Franklin to respond to 1 Lakewood Circle South, Polk Borough, Venango County, for a death investigation.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the known 81-year-old female victim had passed away in her bed around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, February 22.

The victim was a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) patient, and no life-saving measures were performed.

There are no signs of foul play for this investigation, and this death is being ruled a death due to natural causes.
