State Police Calls: DUI Charges, Checks Stolen from Mailbox

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Franklin Man Faces DUI Charges

At 2:39 a.m. on Sunday, October 15, state police made a traffic stop on Halyday Run Road in Cornplanter Township.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the known, 52-year-old Franklin man was under the influence.

Charges are pending in District Court 28-3-01.

The name of the suspect was not released.

Police Seeking Information on Theft in Frenchcreek Township

State Police said an unknown person removed two checks from an envelope located in a mailbox of a residence of an 87-year-old Franklin man on Georgetown Road, Frenchcreek Township.
